I Met My Husband At The Dollar Store

I met my husband at the dollar store. Yep, the dollar store. This may seem like an unlikely place to find your spouse, but God works in mysterious ways. Not only was it in the dollar store, but in a pandemic with our masks on at that. I had been praying for a husband for several years, but I wanted to make sure it was the husband that God wanted me to have and not one that I had chosen for myself. I went so far as to write God a letter back in July of 2019, but instead tore that letter up when I realized that being so specific was again asking God for what I wanted in a King instead of who God had for me.

So fast forward to August 8, 2021, and I’m in line at the dollar store and this guy behind me asked for a pen and I told him I didn’t have one. He said, “A Queen is always ready.” I said, “How do you know I’m a Queen?” He said, “A King always recognizes a Queen.” I was speechless. I know it was probably a line, but I fell for it, lol! Then we proceeded to have more conversation and then he asked me if I was single and I said “yes” and the rest, as they say, is history. We courted for about a year and then eloped on September 16, 2022! God sent me the King that I had prayed for.

Psalms 40:1 says, “I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry.” I hope my story blesses someone who reads this. Be patient, stay prayerful and wait on the Lord to send you your King or Queen. Waiting on God is always best!
