Teddy Morse, owner of Freedom Chevrolet Buick GMC by Ed Morse, blessed a single mom with a Buick Encore during its Holiday Winter Wonderland experience last month. The free car valued at over 15 thousand dollars, had dozens of recommendations from various non-profits in North Texas.
Organizers said all the applications had compelling client testimonies of resilience. Ultimately, the mom selected, Sontravia Danywell Elder, had experienced unimaginable grief with the tragic death of her 7-year-old daughter.
Dr. Wataski Franklin, General Manager of Freedom Chevrolet Buick GMC by Ed Morse, said it was an honor to support such a courageous mother. “Before receiving the vehicle, she rode the bus to work from Carrollton, Texas all the way to Charlton Methodist Hospital, just blocks from Freedom Chevrolet Buick GMC by Ed Morse,” he said. “We just wanted to be a positive part of their story and see how someone can turn trials into triumph,” said Dr. Franklin.
Hundreds of children also received Teddy’s Winter Wonderland presents including bikes, toys, face painting, gift cards, photos with Santa Larry and dessert refreshments. Teddy Morse’s Freedom Chevrolet Buick GMC by Ed Morse is known for its generosity, giving cars to families. In 2021, the Dealership partnered to award a car during the Williams Chicken Partners in Education Annual Change for Change Community Christmas Party.
Teddy Morse is committed to being a positive force in our community. “We recognize that the holidays can bring back some of our most cherished childhood memories and acknowledge that there are those who may be experiencing shattered hopes and dreams – but all in all, our company is committed to using our platform to restore the hopes, dreams and aspirations by providing care for our community,” said Dr. Franklin.
