Meet The Burtons: All’s Fair in Love and Business

by: Leah Frazier, Esq., Think Three Media

For Kauwuane and London Burton — Dallas’ powerhouse creative duo — mixing business and marriage is definitely all pleasure. The husband-and-wife team of Kauwuane Burton Studios, are quietly the masterminds behind the visuals of some of Dallas’ most elite personalities and brands. Quiet as it’s kept, they would prefer to keep it that way — but with a larger-than-life move to Las Colinas, and now owning one of the largest, black-owned creative studios in the Metroplex, word on The Burtons is definitely getting around.

Kauwuane and London are the creative visionaries behind some of the iconic visuals and photographs for DeDe McGuire, Danyel Surrency Jones (Powerhandz), Mahisha Dellinger (Curls), Craig Lewis (GigWage), Kirk Franklin, Vanna Collins (TuffBaby’s Organic Essentials), and many others. Just recently, with faith, hope and love as an anchor, Kauwuane and London expanded operations to a 6,510 square feet luxury space, conveniently located in Las Colinas, and arguably one of the first and largest creative spaces by two founders of color.

“We thank God for his unconditional love, faithfulness, grace, and favor that He continues to rain down us,” The Burtons wrote in a recent post. “We are overflowing with gratitude and thank each and every one of you for taking the time to not only celebrate with us, but for your continuous support and belief in us.”

The new studio is now in close proximity to the DFW airport — easy for visitors to fly into DFW, book a shoot, and head out. The luxury space also boasts 3 restrooms, a shower, a conference room, kitchenette, 2 wardrobe rooms, 2 makeup and hair rooms, as well as 4 studios including a main photography and video production studio, podcast studio, bath and beauty brands studio, and office studio. Along with these amenities and features, Kauwuane Burton Studios is now a one-stop shop, where clients can receive not only branding, visuals and images, but creative services, marketing, PR and other business development necessities through its vetted list of affiliates.

While running a business, maintaining a marriage, and balancing a family is never easy — The Burtons continue to evolve, build and thrive. As their love for each other and their ventures continue to grow, it’s safe to say that Black Love and Black Business can co-exist, artfully culminating into Black Excellence.
