This program aims to empower students and celebrate their achievements by offering them what they might have missed due to financial constraints: a chance to capture their senior year milestones through professional photography.
Understanding the significance of senior portraits in marking a key life transition, Dunice Harrell Photography has committed to making these essential services accessible to all. The GOAL program not only helps in capturing a moment in time, but also boosts the self-esteem of these young adults as they step into a new chapter of their lives. “Senior portraits are more than just photographs; they are a rite of passage, a celebration of achievements, and a memory to cherish,” said Dunice Harrell, founder of Dunice Harrell Photography. “With the GOAL program, we aim to ensure that every student, regardless of their financial circumstances, gets to experience this important milestone.”
The program is supported through community contributions and a dedicated GoFundMe campaign. Dunice Harrell Photography invites the community and local businesses to participate in this heartfelt cause. Contributions to the program will directly fund professional portrait sessions for students who otherwise would not be able to afford them.
Dunice Harrell Photography has set a goal to raise $15,000, which will enable the company to provide senior portraits for 100 students. To utilize funds to reach as many students as possible, Dunice Harrell volunteers her photography skills and time. The campaign has already garnered support from the Otis and Rose Brown foundation with a grant of $2,500, showcasing the community’s commitment to supporting its youth.
