About Jayne Kennedy
Jayne Kennedy rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s, breaking barriers as a pioneering Black woman in entertainment and sports journalism. She became a household name as the first African American female host of “The NFL Today” on CBS, and her talents extended to acting in films such as “Body and Soul” and television series like “The Love Boat” and “CHiPs.” Throughout her career, Kennedy has been recognized for her excellence with a Daytime Emmy Award and has been celebrated for her advocacy and philanthropy.
Her newly released memoir, Plain Jayne: A Memoir, offers an intimate look at her journey, sharing stories of triumph, perseverance, and hope. Attendees will have the chance to hear firsthand from Jayne about her remarkable life and career during the Fireside Chat, and VIP guests will receive a signed copy of her book.
