Hunger Busters hosts “Meet the Chefs”

Hunger Busters, a local nonprofit organization working to eradicate hunger for children, hosted the sixth annual “Meet the Chefs” event featuring notable chefs that have been featured on the Food Network and curate menus for well-known celebrities. The organization delivers 3,500 meals a day to students and over 350,000 a year with aspirations to deliver 14,500 meals daily. Hunger Busters CEO Dr. Latame Phillips said, “It is a great honor to host our “Meet the Chefs” event to raise awareness of the hunger and poverty issues that exists for children throughout Dallas”. The event took place this year at The Empire Room, located in Dallas on Riverfront Blvd. The night was filled with great food, music, a silent auction and powerful networking with many of Dallas’s business leaders.
