In a powerful moment of grace, poise, and perseverance, Trevilia Hodge was crowned Miss Plus America Elite 2025 and Ultimate Woman Plus America 2025—a historic dual win that marks not only a pageant milestone but a deeply personal triumph.
Just 61 days after the sudden loss of her youngest brother, Trevilia took the national stage and delivered a performance fueled by purpose and resilience. Her platform, Replace Loss with Love, speaks to her lived experience of transforming grief into impact—helping others discover healing, hope, and self-worth through storytelling and education.
A certified grief educator through David Kessler’s Grief.com, Trevilia uses her voice and lived experience to support those navigating profound loss. Her debut children’s book, The Baby Elephant with the Blue Balloon, introduces families to the concept of grief with warmth and sensitivity. The book was featured by Tabitha Brown’s Very Good Mondays and is quickly becoming a cornerstone resource for families coping with loss.
Trevilia is a proud Rutgers University alumna and a Mary I. Bunting Scholar, who served as her mother’s caregiver while completing her degree. Her upcoming podcast relaunch, Replace Loss with Love, scheduled for September 2025, will feature candid conversations about grief, growth, and the courage to begin again.
Her work has been spotlighted at Pinky Cole’s American Sesh Live, the Black Enterprise Summit, and various national platforms dedicated to empowerment and advocacy. As an award-winning filmmaker, she starred in the internationally acclaimed Path to Judah and received honors for her original short film Pandemic.
“As a woman who has endured significant loss, I wear this crown not only as a symbol of achievement but as a representation of every woman who has dared to rise after falling, who continues to love after loss, and who understands that her purpose lives beyond her pain,” says Hodge.
Now holding two prestigious national titles, Trevilia is available for speaking engagements, media appearances, grief education workshops, and brand partnerships. Her reign represents more than visibility—it’s a declaration that power, poise, and purpose do not expire with age or adversity.
