Breakfast Brothers High School Culinary Competition to Premiere on CW 33

Breakfast Brothers restaurant is proud to announce their recent partnership with Dallas College Culinary, Pastry and Hospitality Center,  PepsiCo. & Gordon Foods for a High School Culinary Competition that will premiere on the latest episode of “In the Kitchen with the Breakfast Brothers” which airs on CW 33 every Saturday morning at 10:30am CST.  The competition took place in April and features talented high school chefs from the culinary departments at Desoto, Duncanville and Lancaster High School in Dallas County.
The competition was hosted by The Breakfast Brothers, a restaurant located in the Dallas Fort Worth area known for its consistency and passion for cooking good food that is additive to the soul. The Breakfast Brothers High School Culinary Competition brought together three schools and their most talented culinary students to compete in three rounds of friendly but intense competition. The judges, which included well-known chefs and culinary experts, tasted each dish and scored each team based on categories such as taste, presentation, originality and creativity. The school with the best overall score received a scholarship, trophy and the title of Breakfast Brothers High School Culinary Champions. Additionally, each student chef may have the opportunity to work with the Breakfast Brothers at their multiple restaurant locations.
“The Breakfast Brothers High School Culinary Competition was an amazing experience for everyone involved,” said Amber Brown, one of the producers of the show. “We were blown away by the talent and creativity of these young chefs. We are excited to bring this competition to CW33, Freedom43, Hulu Live, and YouTubeTV over the next four Saturday mornings and showcase the amazing culinary skills, talents and abilities of these high school chefs.”
The culinary competition featured a variety of challenges. Competitors prepared 3 signature dishes including an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert while working together in teams to prepare exemplary meals for five judges. Each episode will highlight the importance of culinary education for high school students and the impact it can have on their future careers. These episodes will include exclusive confessions from the youth chefs, interviews with the judges, and behind-the-scenes footage of the competition.

The Breakfast Brothers High School Culinary Competition is a fantastic example of the creativity and innovation that can be found in our local schools.
