The 6th Annual Riverfront Jazz Festival was another great one! People from all over the country came out to enjoy this Labor Day Weekend event. This year featured acts such as Stanley Clarke, Stephanie Mills, Lalah Hathaway, Morris Day & The Time, Bob James and so many more. The economic impact of this event can’t be understated as hotels, restaurants, food trucks, event vendors and other small businesses welcome increased business from the Riverfront Jazz Festival. We salute Mr. Curtis King, the Founder of TBAAL and the festival and we can’t wait to see the acts he will bring next year!
The Mattress Firm Dream Big Event Brought Out Track Stars Sha’ Carri Richardson & Noah Lyles To DeSoto High School!
The City Of Desoto Parks & Recreation Center recently hosted The Mattress Firm Dream Big Event at Desoto High School. The event not only had the world’s fastest woman and man there in Sha’ Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles but also Joseph Lyles, the U20 World Champion, Keisha Bishop, the mother of the Lyle brothers and Corey Gauff, the father of US Open Champion CoCo Gauff. It was a wonderful evening of empowerment and inspiration for all who attended, from students to parents. Hats off to Desoto for promoting excellence to the community.
